England’s Creative Coast is an innovative new visitor experience. New outdoor artworks and cultural adventures will connect the outstanding galleries across the South East’s stunning coastline of Sussex, Kent and Essex, tempting new visitors to the region. Here they can explore original new art commissions by some of the world’s leading artists, uncover the creative spirit of each place as told by the locals that live there, and take part in a digital treasure hunt, all bookable via package itineraries that include food, travel and accommodation.

This ambitious three-year arts and tourism project is led by Turner Contemporary and Visit Kent (Go to Places) and is principally funded by Arts Council England’s Cultural Destinations programme and the UK Government’s Discover England Fund, administered by VisitEngland. The project aims to increase cultural tourism across England’s Creative Coast, inspiring international and domestic tourists to visit by showcasing the South East’s exceptional art and culture.

“I can have culture anywhere.  What I really want to see is the unique, varied part that makes it different to everywhere else . . . what makes somewhere distinct” Inbound tourist
